Would vitamin C cream help heal acne scars and prevent future break outs?

I am tempted right now of buying an organic vitamin C facial cream hoping it would help my acne scars and to prevent break outs. I had never been like this and I missed my old skin I just wanted it to heal and stop.

I had included a photo of the item I was considering trying. Any suggestions? Have anyone tried a vitamin C cream?

i dont know whether this cream will work or not as i'm not aware about the contents in it....but I can suggest you a better home remedy to get rid of the acne scars...that is very well tested & proved ...myself  and all my friends are benefitted of this remedy..its here--
Lentil seeds powder (1 table spoon) + raw milk (2 table spoon) --mix them well to a fine paste ..apply this paste on your face (after a good wash) ...leave it for 1/2 hours at it is .....rinse it off after 1/2 hour period and apply some soft cream that suits to your skin type...Repeat this for few days (depending on the scar type) ...you will get the pleasing results for sure !
    good luck!

With the contents, it says it has lavender in it, chamomile, white/green tea, flax seed, rose hip, sweet almond, orange, and sunflower oil, lemon bioflavonoids, and some other more. I could try this remedy too as I always consider natural ways. Ty smile

You're very honest Precy. Classic reason for skin problems. Look even further.  What's causing the insomnia + thinking? .No need to say here. Check thyroids and hormones. Problems will go but return without correcting the cause. Watch stressors. Love

I know that vitamin C is necessary for the skin and serious lack of it causes scurvy whereby the person may bleed to death. However, for blemishes and acne, it's vitamin A you need: Vitamin A (read this if you like:http://garifalia.hubpages.com/hub/Olive-Oil-a-miracle-commodity)

Vitamin A contributes to the strengthening of the skin's protective tissue and prevents acne. Vitamin A also assists to cut down on sebum production. Vitamin A is a great antioxidant and very effective for ridding toxins from your body. Not consuming enough vitamin A in your diet can become a major cause for getting acne. Consuming generous amounts of fruits and vegetables are more effective than the animal-derived vitamin A for reducing acne. Warning: Do not take vitamin A supplements; it can be toxic to your body in high dosages, and dangerous if you are pregnant.

Thank you! I would read more about vitamin A. I eat vegetables but picky with it and not much fruit unless I like the fruit. I really should be consuming more of the two than meat & follow what I should eat and not what I wanna eat. Ty for the li

I do not know about the cream. But I can suggest you something, which can really help. Take 1 tablespoonful of lemon juice, 1 tablespoonful of rose water and 1 tablespoonful of glycerin.  Mix evenly and apply on the face, gently massaging. Leave for about 30 minutes. Wash and pat dry your face. Continue for 15 days and you will be see the difference, for sure.
The home remedy suggested by Shara in the above answer is also very good and must be tried.
    All the best.

Rose water is quite readily available in India. I am sure, you will get it at your place also, at some store containing herbal products. If not, you can prepare on your own with the help of various internet sites, demonstrating the same.

Lots of good advice, and I trust that they do help you. Vitamin C is a very powerful anti-oxidant and also known for its healing properties.

On a slightly different note, I know of a great American who has stated that the best approach to solving these sort of bodily problems, is to go to the source, or the problem will return. Find out why the problem is occuring. You may know or not know, in which case, a bit of reflection or meditation is not bad. Some say that what is needed, is an elevation of consciousness, the only way to heal the form. Be kind to yourself and others.

Still, added to what you have got so far, detox only if you feel strong; drink plenty of water; do not forget exercise; eat healthy and rest more. Look for your stressors. Best wishes.

Beautifully said! Especially about going to the source; most of the time it's hormonal imbalances.

Thanks. Lovely answers but it's so important that we look at things whollistically. With just a slight nudge, many of us do know either what's going on or where to look. I wish Precy well.

Thanks Manatita44 smile I noticed this started last year's December when I started lacking of sleep and being unable to make up with the sleeps I lost. And I'm always sleepy but sometimes can't sleep too much thinking. I believe it has to do with it.

It's not just vitamin c you need (most potent form is L-ascorbic acid) but you need vitamin a and e too. Vitamin a regulates the dead skin layer of our skin; keeps our skin in balance. People with sensitive skin have very unbalanced skin layers for example ( thin dermis, thick epidermis). Vitamin c and e stimulate healthy cell production and are collagen and elastin stimulants. For acne scaring I recommend proper DAILY exfoliation. If you use scrubs, stop immediately - scientifically show to create micro tears in the skin. Proper exfoliation will rejuvenate the skin and repair the scarring damage from the inside out. Trust me, I had moderate to severe acne and pretty bad scarring bc of it. But you wouldn't know by looking at me! smile

I use vitamin C renewal toner because I have un even skin tone. It works a lot. The citrus is good for lighting up the skin. Most of the time I use lemon to lighting my skin. I'm a big fan of organic things and as well as food that helps the body on the outside. Lemon is natures natural bleach. Oranges works just as good as Lemons do. I myself have stretch marks and i treat them to some lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil which helps. Another trick I would recommend doing is the green tea face wash. It is perfect for acne and acne scares. Just get a tea bag of green tea, or loose leaf. boil them. drain the leaves and put them into a plate or a cup. mix some honey and brown sugar and a little bit of lemon. it makes a wonderful face scrub and it should help clear your skin as well as reduce scaring. Don't throw out the brewed tea cause  you can drink it and it is good for you as well.

Sorry if I type so much I get kind of excited when I talk about these kinds of things. I mean after all I am hoping to open a Natural Organic spa for these types of things.  and everything I use for my products are going to be food based for sure.
